RoboCup is an international robotics competition founded in 1993. The aim is to develop autonomous robots with the intention of promoting research and education in the field of artificial intelligence. The name RoboCup is a contraction of the competition’s full name, “Robot Soccer World Cup”.
I have been participating in the Standard Platform League (formerly Four Legged League) with the Darmstadt Dribbling Dackels since October 2005 and the GermanTeam since June 2006. Since the AIBOs development has been dropped by Sony, the four legged robots got replaced by a new humanoid robot called Nao. Thus we are the final last world champion in the Four Legged League.
The remaining DDD team had been invited to join the Darmstadt Dribblers starting October 2008, to support them win in the Humanoid League. Let the Hacking begin.
